Professor Vladimir Khavinson. 1946–2024.

Director of the St. Petersburg Institute of Bioregulation and Gerontology. Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences. Author of 775 peer-reviewed publications spanning 53 years of uninterrupted research into short-chain peptide bioregulators.

His central finding: short-chain peptides — two to seven amino acids — cross cell membranes, enter the nucleus, and bind directly to DNA promoter sequences. They activate tissue-specific gene expression that aging, disease, and cumulative stress have suppressed. They do not alter the underlying DNA. They restore what was already there.
